Bring a lunch and something to sit on for lunch critique, rain cancels
Jan 5- Butterfly trees- Pismo Beach. Go south from SLO to Pismo, exit at Pismo Beach off-ramp on the right. Go straight through on Dolliver St (hwy 1) continue south on Dolliver past the State Park camp. The butterfly park is on the right. Parking is on the street or inside the State Park campground at the far end near trees. There are views of the beach as well as the trees.
Jan 12-NEW!!! Carol Paquet’s private home and pond- you can find her on IG at Willowpondslo- From SLO drive south on Broad St where it becomes the 227. Turn left onto Corbett Canyon and drive 1.5 miles to Judith Lane. (this will be on your left hand side) Turn into Judith Lane and follow the dirt road past the vineyard and around the hill, through the big red gates and onto the property. The pond will be on our left as we come through the gates. There is a large ranch house up the road and hill where we can use the facilities.
Jan19- Museum of Natural History - Morro Bay.
From SLO go north on Hwy 1 and exit at South Bay Blvd. Turn left at stop sign and drive under the freeway and continue .7 mile to Park View Rd. Turn right and bear to the left at the fork and turn left into the Museum Parking lot.
Jan 26-San Luis Obispo Mission de la Tolosa- downtown SLO- views from the front of the mission and inside the garden courtyard.
Feb 2- Memory Park Seacliff Drive - Shell Beach. From SLO take Hwy 101 south to Spyglass Dr. (exit #193). At stop sign turn right and then make an immediate left onto Shell Beach Rd. Right onto Seacliff Dr. Continue to Memory Park. Ocean views.
Feb 9-SLO Railroad station and tracks- in SLO take Santa Rosa St east all the way till it dead ends at the railroad station trains arriving and leaving and the old station.
Feb 16-Dinosaur Rocks, Pismo Beach, Go south on highway 101 to Price Street exit. Turn right at Price St and go to Cliff. Turn left and drive just a ways down to the cliffs and parking area with lots of marine views.
Feb 23-Port San Luis, Avila Beach. From SLO go south on 101 to Avila Beach drive. Follow it to it’s end past Avila Beach and Diablo Canyon to the large parking area by the pier.
