About CCWS

"Avila Storm" by CCWS Member Michael Grahek

The Central Coast Watercolor Society (CCWS) was founded in 1976 for the purpose of furthering interest in and appreciation of the watercolor medium.  It is an independent non-profit group of artists, collectors, teachers, students and anyone interested in watercolor and water media.  We are located on the beautiful Central Coast of California in San Luis Obispo County.  CCWS holds a general meeting each month in the Wesley Building at the United Methodist Church, 1515 Fredericks Street, San Luis Obispo. All meetings are free and open to the public and routinely host guest artists, demonstrations, and lectures suitable for all levels. See our Membership page for more benefits of membership in this active group.
